Notes: Attendance 17

1. CLA President’s Visit

   1. Doris to update – will be Nov. 19^th or 20^th, have submitted to book a room

   2. Discuss charging a fee – Drew to set up discussion form on website

      • Ideas: (last year charged $5 for lunch) or free or reduced price and possibly only serve coffee and desserts

2. Library Tours

   1. Chou to update – Chou not present but has 2 tours booked and will send email once finalized

   2. Posters – Erin to make posters

3. Mentorship

   1. Jessica to update – Jessica is working on creating forms

4. Networking

   1. Erin & Yimen to update – set budget (to include food, gifts, door prizes)

      • Location will be the Masonville Public Library (used in past and free)

5. Calgary Public Library Job Fair – will book a room for the end of September/early October

   • Erin to make poster

   • Spring Job fair – talk to Jessica or Chou if want to help, think of employers to contact

- will contact co-op office

6. Speakers – Monica to organize

   1. Possible speaker – Sam Coghlin

7. Fundraising

   1. September Event – button sales (Tuesday = Sarah and Deborah, Wednesday =Jocelyn and Yimen)

      • Sarah to make poster

   2. October ideas – bake sale or Halloween candy sale – Sarah to price options

8. Advocacy – Gary the rep to contact student council

   1. Any ideas – start discussion on website

9. 1^st term rep – section 1: Andre, section 2: Gary, section 3: Sarah
